We love India. We came here seven years ago … and basically never left. To us India is the most fascinating travel destination on earth.
We founded Open Eyes because we wanted to share our love of India – and support local communities, women, artisans, and sustainable travel practices. Since 2011, we’ve been offering responsible tours to India. Learn more about our Responsible Tourism Policy.
Our goal is to bring positive changes, that benefit the local people, to the places we visit.
Open Eyes Project is a social enterprise. We work with communities to create more emotional experiences for our guests, and opportunities for women, artisans, and those working at the lower end of the tourism value chain.
We hire female-only taxi services. We lead tours to Kathputli, the artist’s and magician’s colony that inspired Midnight’s Children. We offer opportunities to increase mindfulness with Yoga, Ayurveda, and meditation. We train artisans and create immersive experiences which connects them to travellers, in both urban and rural settings.
We create customized, tailor-made tours for groups and families.
