One of the most intriguing corners of one of the world’s most historical cities is Nizamuddin. Named after Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya, who was born in the 13th century, the neighbourhood is a vibrant mix of old and new, upscale residences and ancient tombs. Travellers and pilgrims flock to the Nizamuddin Dargah, the saint’s tomb, to hear qawwalis, Sufi devotional songs, eat kebabs, and shop in the lively market area.
Come with us and explore this fascinating neighbourhood of Delhi. You will be guided by local youth, trained to help you uncover the traditions, monuments, flavours, and history of Nizamuddin. Plus, your taxi driver will be a woman – a wonderful experience in a country where men occupy almost 100% of the transport employment.
Joining this tour will be a rich and rewarding experience for you, and you will be contributing to help make tourism more inclusive in India.
